Bailee Hammett

Bailee received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Michigan University. She received her Bachelors in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her primary interests are working with kids who may be experiencing difficulties in life and mental health challenges. Bailee has a passion for working with young children who have Autism and ADHD. She also enjoys working with teens and adults to find ways of coping and moving through life after dealing with childhood struggles. Bailee believes that counseling involves two or more people, working alongside one another, to create a relationship where there is trust and support. People come to counseling for various reasons. Counseling could be a place for you to experience validation for your feelings, or it could be an environment for encouragement and empathy when you are going through a significant change in your life.

At times counseling can bring up uncomfortable feelings, or past submerged emotions for an individual. This is something that is common for many clients, it shows you are working through the counseling process. She believes at times in the client and counselor relationship, we must dive deep, and sit in the uncomfortable for there to truly be change. Her goal is to construct insight and awareness surrounding her clients in their work life, personal life, another different area, or multiple areas at once.
