What are the benefits of testing?
Autism Spectrum Testing can provide detailed information about what to expect from your child’s development, a deeper understanding about how to support your child and promote development, and access to community and school-based services that can assist you and your child. Testing can also help your provider/s coordinate personalized services based on your needs.

What to Expect from Autism Testing
- Language Assessment
- First, Rachel will assess which the level at which a client uses language (Nonverbal, single words, phrase speech, or fluent speech)
- These results determine how we gather information during the rest of the interview
- Information gathering – Based on language level, Rachel will interview the client based on 3 areas:
- Communication
- Reciprocal social interactions
- Restrictive and repetitive patterns of behaviors and interests
- Some activities may include…
- Puzzles
- Interactive play
- Looking at books and pictures
- Create stories
- Questions about school work, emotions, and relationships.
- Information will also be gathered from an “informant” who can give an accurate representation of the client’s developmental history
- All of this information will be used to formulate a diagnosis using a diagnostic algorithm based on the activities.
