Psychiatric Medication Management
Psychiatric Medication Management is offered to kids, teens, and adults by our board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners or PMHNPs. PMHNPs are advanced practice registered nurses who specialize in mental health care. Beyond their RN’s they have obtained a Master’s of Doctoral Degree and have the authority to prescribe psychiatric medication. PMNHP’s are able to assess, diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder etc. They also care for people with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders (dual diagnosis). They may treat these conditions via medication management, therapy, education, and self-management strategies.
Our PMNHP’s vary in the type of care they provide from traditional medicine to functional medicine, to integrative medicine. They all offer Genesight testing (a type of genetic testing used to predict how an individual might respond to different medications). They each maintain a safe, confidential, and patient centered model of care.
